All That Really Matters is the Work

The medium may change, but Josh is always creating or producing in some capacity. Sometimes that means developing, writing and drawing an original property from scratch (like IglooBBQ). Other times it's illustrating character concepts and scripting a story to later be fleshed out by other artists (Mercy Sparx). Josh is largely known as the founder of the iconic Devil's Due Entertainment, now a fifteen year staple of indie comics, and walks the line between creator and executive. Creativity isn't limited to stories and illustration, which is why Blaylock also manages a nationwide tour for Devil's Due talent, sponsored live art parties to cross promote his brands, and is currently developing automated software to help serve both his own efforts and the comic industry at large.

Late 2000 - Securing the comicbook license to the then dormant G.I. Joe franchise, Blaylock's Devil's Due Publishing struck a deal with Image Comics to bring the Real American Heroes (and as a result everything else '80s) to comics, topping the charts with the first issue, debuting September 12, 2001 and continuing its run for seven years.
